However, earlier models faced "cogging" issues due to iron cores, affecting rotation regularity. The SL-1210GR2 features an iron coreless single-rotor/single-stator motor, eliminating cogging and maximising rotational smoothness. New Motor-Drive System, ΔΣ-Drive (Delta Sigma Drive)

In addition to reducing harmonics, the new drive suppresses vibrations from the motor for smoother, more accurate rotation, ensuring a rich reproduction of the music.
Low-Noise Switching Circuit
By incorporating a high-speed switching power supply, we guarantee a consistently stable power capacity with minimal ripple and humming. This smart utilisation of a switching power supply in our turntable design not only eradicates the necessity for a large transformer but also eliminates the need for additional measures to counteract mechanical vibrations. Moreover, operating at a switching frequency exceeding 100 kHz ensures that any potential noise is confined, preserving the full bandwidth of the music playback for an uninterrupted and superior listening experience.
Current Injection Active Noise Cancelling
Our innovative system teams up a powerful noise detection device with a precision error amplifier. Two-layered Cabinet Construction
The SL-1210GR2 ensures high rigidity by using a body with a two-layered construction that solidly unifies the BMC and the aluminium die-cast chassis.
High-Quality Terminals
The turntable uses gold-plated phono terminals for detachable cables, while metal shielding construction inside the case reduces the effects of external noise.
High-Damping Silicon Insulators
For the insulators supporting the body, the SL-1210GR2 uses special silicon rubber that ensures high vibration damping characteristics and long-term reliability.
Tonearm Achieving High Initial-Motion Sensitivity
The tonearm, a crucial component for precise reading, tracks the record's rotation. Inherited from Technics, it employs a lightweight, rigid aluminium pipe in the traditional static-balance universal S-shape. Featuring a gimbal suspension and high-precision bearing, it achieves initial-motion sensitivity of 5 mg or less through manual assembly by skilled Japanese artisans. This meticulous construction ensures accurate tracing of record grooves. Plus, it includes an auxiliary weight, providing flexibility for a variety of pickup cartridges.
