True bass definition

Bass is a key element of performance, and the R-Series low-frequency drivers have been meticulously and precisely engineered. They consist of a two-piece construction with a flat, concave aluminum skin on top of a paper cone. This stiffness, combined with the cone's unique shape, reduces unwanted resonances and provides the piston-like movement that makes these drivers work so well. The driver's magnet system produces a wide, uniform magnetic field, while the suspension reduces harmonic distortion for clean, precise sound. The result is extremely deep and agile bass, revealing every detail and powerful depth.

12th generation Uni-Q®

The Uni-Q driver array has been redesigned to maximize the performance improvements offered by MAT. The tapered waveguide combines the tweeter dome with a new metamaterial absorber that has been specifically designed for its depth-based custom-engineered driver. The redesigned tweeter's gap muffler strategically places two rings of porous material to effectively tame resonances and imperfections, dramatically improving detail and clarity.

The ultra-low distortion midrange motor design uses a copper ring embedded in the motor's air gap to minimize inductance and inductance variation with winding position. This reduces mid-range THD and reduces thermal compression, which improves efficiency.

Microfibre grilles

The dedicated microfibre grilles feature 1,801 precision-cut holes for each driver, delivering uncompromised sonic performance even when the drivers are covered.
